A little about me…

It all started when…

I was about 2 years old. All I wanted to do was watch my mom in the kitchen. You see, I grew up with a single mom and her amazing Polish cooking. She made everything from scratch; I mean everything! I loved watching my mom roll out the pierogy dough or stir the chicken noodle soup, she just made it look easy. My mom still makes everything from scratch and now that I am older, I realize just how “not easy” her cooking really is. There are a lot of steps and sometimes a lot of waiting in between steps too! I loved and still love to watch my mom cook and this stuck with me throughout my youth and into my adulthood where I took my interests to the next level.

I decided to take a cooking class at George Brown College in 2010 because I wanted to take my interest in cooking to the next level. One class led to another and another and eventually I realized that I was 1 course away from graduating with a Certificate in Culinary Arts.

I am now a busy full time working mom of two little people and let me tell you, it ain’t easy! For both of my kids, I made and still make everything from scratch. I love trying new recipes, learning from chefs of all backgrounds and can’t wait to share some of my recipes, parenting tips/tricks/failures and other everyday life occurrences. Bon Appetit!
